Do you play a classical instrument? MSO wants you!
We are Musica Silvestra Orchestra, the student symphony orchestra of Twente. Every half year, we choose a new programme to perform under guidance of our passionate conductor Michael Rein.
Our repertoire spans a wide range of music, from timeless symphonies and dramatic overtures to captivating film and theatre scores. This variety ventures all the way to collaboration; we have performed concerts with soloists, choirs, dancers and other orchestras. There is never a dull moment with MSO.

MSO has many committees and a very dedicated board, managing our promo, rehearsal weekends and many other happenings.
Our rehearsals take place every Monday evening in Agora (Vrijhof), from 19:30h to 22:00h. Before every concert, we also plan a rehearsal weekend at an external location where we not only practice for the upcoming performance but also engage in many fun activities together!
